Lobby Renovation

This pre-war had suffered from years of neglect. With younger shareholders moving in, the Board commenced a renovation program for the Lobby and Hallways. The basic bones were handsome, and it was our goal to enhance that structure and create an atmosphere of contrast and warmth. We replaced the prison-like vestibule doors with mahogany French doors. The '70s mailboxes were replaced with larger boxes encased in rich mahogany cabinetry, looking like it was always there. The new period lighting energizes the space, which was dark and gloomy. The terrazzo flooring was polished, and the metal stairs painted an off black to match the doors. The public places are now rich, crisp and smart.
